Texas Book Festival
October 25 - 26, 2019

​The HSPVA Creative Writing Department is excited to bring students to the Texas Book Festival for the sixth year! Our students attend panels with notable writers such as Joyce Carol Oates, Margaret Atwood and Sandra Cisneros and discover new writers who become favorites such as Roger Reeves and Matthea Harvey. The department is surrounded by people who love words as much as they do; it is inspiring and fun. It’s also a bonding experience, and we become stronger as a department.
